These socks are great for sport, they fit really snug so won't bunch up, they have the setting control on the outside which is very convenient. I use them for winter mountain biking but would be great for downhill skiing or other winter sports. I have only used them on medium setting during around -5 temperatures and keep my feet very warm in my hiking boots I use for biking, highly recommend.

I bought them in hope that they would function as hunting socks in 20 degree weather. This is while sitting in a treestand. They aren't up that task. I've recently tried putting in foot warmers with liner socks for the first two hours and then turning on the socks. This seems pretty good but then I believe the problem is that they are cotton socks and only warm the toe area. These socks would probably be excellent for anyone being outside for only a few hours and planning on being on the move. For the price smart wool or something like that would be a better choice than cotton. Cotton is not your friend outside in the winter.

My husband has poor circulation in one leg. This product is going to help him get thru the winter better than any we have found. I was going to order back up batteries, but have decided on a second pair of socks, he is so pleased. The little indicator light acts as a floor light if he gets up at nite. No instructions with item. Update after 1 month: He used to resort to Hotties to help with the numbness in the cold. They work, but they often get too hot, especially if you are on your feet for a long time. The Savior socks have 3 heat settings none of which are too hot. Surprisingly even the low setting helps. He can even wear one sock at nite in bed on low. He tried other electric socks with bulky batteries that need frequent replacements instead of just recharging. Savior better by far.

I have been back a d forth on actually buying a pair for a while now. My job will have me in cold weather and I am not a cold weather type of person. I can tell you that I habe only had these for a few days but they are keeping my feet worm and toastie!! I have used the socks a few times now, and they are still awesome. Hand washed them last night and they were nice and dry this morning. And still worked well.

There are minor issues, but these DO work and would definitely purchase again. Design challenges include making heating elements so compact that they fit comfortably inside shoes, efficiency for practical run times on compact batteries, hiding and carrying interchangeable batteries in the space of a sock.... on these counts they do well, and they work well. Flip side is they seem a bit delicate and so have been handling with care, especially when putting on and taking off. Battery wire lead is thin, battery pocket (necessarily) small. On/ off switch can accidentally be bumped while wearing due to position, either inside calf or outside calf. Heat takes 10-15 minutes to noticeably kick in, and even on "high" results in comfort, not a "hot foot". Been getting 3-4 hours run time on "medium" and "high" as necessary, with slightly larger additional batteries purchased from manufacturer.
